| Child Abuse Prevention County of the Year Traveling Trophy Contest |
Plans are currently underway to introduce a contest among the counties we serve. Each year, beginning
in April (Child Abuse Prevention Month) our counties will enter into a friendly competition to see who gets
to keep the 'Child Abuse Prevention County of the Year Traveling Trophy'. Counties will be able to earn
points in several ways. Some of the ideas thought of by staff for counties to earn points include: number
of referrals to our programs, the number of children who attend the Take Charge of Your Body
Presentations, number of families who enroll in our parenting classes and the amount of funds contributed
locally. The winning county for that year will receive the Traveling Trophy and be able to display it in their
county until the following year.
